Monday Keynote Speaker: Dr. Amelia Parnell
Amelia Parnell is vice president for research and policy at NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, where she leads many of the Association’s scholarly and advocacy-focused activities. Amelia writes and speaks frequently about topics related to student affairs, college affordability, student learning outcomes, and institutions’ use of data and analytics. Amelia’s policy and practitioner experiences include prior roles in association management, legislative policy analysis, internal audit, and TRIO programs. Her research portfolio includes studies of leadership in higher education, with a focus on college presidents and vice presidents. She is the author of the new book, You Are a Data Person: Strategies for Using Analytics on Campus, and host of the podcast, Speaking of College. Amelia currently serves on the board of directors for EDUCAUSE and is an advisor to several other higher education organizations. She holds a Ph.D. in higher education from Florida State University and masters and bachelor’s degrees in business administration from Florida A & M University.
Tuesday Keynote Speaker: Dr. Alisha Hyslop
Dr. Alisha Hyslop has spent over 20 years working with career and technical education and is currently the Senior Director of Public Policy at the Association for Career and Technical Education. At ACTE, Alisha leads the organization’s legislative, advocacy, research, and policy implementation efforts that cover both secondary and postsecondary policy issues, and is particularly involved in efforts related to the Carl D. Perkins CTE Act and ACTE’s High-quality CTE Initiative. Previously she worked with the Florida House of Representatives and with career and technical student organizations on a local, state and national level. Alisha received her Bachelor’s in Public Relations and Family and Consumer Sciences Education from Florida State University, her Master’s in Career and Technical Education from Virginia Tech University, and her Ph.D. in Career and Workforce Education from the University of South Florida, where she developed specific expertise in program evaluation and has served as an adjunct instructor.

Pre-Conference Session 1B: IE Evaluator Training = $78 (includes lunch).
Note - To qualify to attend IE Evaluator Training you must meet all 3 of the following stipulations.
1. You are currently an active SACSCOC IE Evaluator;
2. You have not participated in the SACSCOC IE Evaluator training before;
3. You have 1 or no SACSCOC committee service experience. -
Conference Fee + Annual Membership = $520 (includes welcome reception Sunday night and breakfast and lunch on Monday and Tuesday)
